Research Request from the Library
The
Rockcastle County Public Library more than welcomes
requests for genealogy but a few simple rules must be followed
as to ensure that everyone's request is fulfilled.
1. Genealogy request should be limited to births, deaths,
marriage records and newspaper articles.
2. Please use specific names in order to ensure accurate research.
3. Please limit each request to 10 ancestors per request.
4. When mailing request do not send checks
or money orders until contacted by
the Library by phone, email or mail
giving you the cost of copies.
5. Please check our list below before sending a
request to ensure that your request can be filled.

Our Microfilm is located in the Kentucky/Genealogy
Room
of the Library.
Located in the same room is the microfilm reader.

Paper Archives are also located in the
Kentucky/Genealogy
Room of the Library.
Our collection contains both books and folders of
information
donated to the library by families of the county. The
collection is always in need of
new material and donations of family trees and other
local information is always welcome.
